Jay and Cari's Wedding

Lake Tahoe has to be one of the most beautiful places to get married.  Jay and Cari picked a fantastic spot on the beach for their special day.  One of their friends, who is photographer, offer to photograph the wedding and festivities which was truly appreciated.  After everyone was dressed in their beach wedding best, we headed down the mountain.  Once we arrived, we picked the perfect spot for family pictures and enjoyed the view as well as the photo ops.  When the officiant arrived, Jay and Cari headed down to the beach for their special moment.  While short and sweet, the ceremony was perfectly fitted for Jay and Cari.  I cannot imagine a more perfect setting for their special day.

I apologize for the lack of pictures.  It's hard to snap pics while trying to occupy a 3yr old, cry and be excited all at the same time...haha.

After the wedding, we headed back to the rental house for the reception/party!!  It was laid back and casual, which was a nice continuation of the wedding ceremony. 



Tahoe Waterfall

One of the many great things about a low key wedding is that you can enjoy the morning of the wedding in a nice relaxing way such as driving up, around, over, and through the mountains to find a waterfall.  That's exactly what Chris and I did Saturday morning.  After I put the finishing touches on the cake and got K down for an early nap, we took off in search of the waterfall he discovered with Katelyn on Friday.  I was so excited because that is one of the things I really wanted to see and do.  Along the way, we enjoyed the sights.  About 45min after leaving, we were finally there.  It was busy as you can probably imagine, but so worth the drive.  What an amazing sight.  I could have gotten comfortable with a nice magazine and spent a good solid day there.  On our way back, we stopped to enjoy Tahoe's best milkshake.  It was tasty after hiking to and from the waterfall.

This is right before Chris took of his shoes and attempted to cross the waterfall.  In the process, he slipped and fell into the water with his shoes and all.  It was quite funny to watch, but he was less than happy that I made him cross the water...haha.
