Every May we have something to look forward to....the Milnes' Houston Visit! Having my bff so far away sucks sometimes, but having her parents in Houston is wonderful. It guarantees me that she will come visit at least once a year, although I am sure she would come visit even if her parents didn't live here it would just be much harder (right Jill?). Anywho, this year was even better because Chris was not racing this weekend (he usually is). Jill and Mark had requested a crawfish boil after their last visit, so we were more than happy to make that happen. Chris was awesome and picked up all the supplies and the mudbugs and cooked an amazing meal for us. Everyone loved it. The Taggart's graciously let us do it at their house (well we kind of made that part of the deal) so we could swim. Before the boil, we headed to Froberg Farm to pick some strawberries. Unfortunately, strawberry picking was over for the season so we didn't get to pick. We still did some shopping and the kids enjoyed the strawberry cutouts. After the farm, it was off to the Taggart's. The weather was not awesome, but it was terrible either. The kids wanted to get in the pool right away...nevermind the fact that the water was freezing. The kids had so much fun together this year. Its so fun to see them grow up together. We look forward to these visits every year and have so much fun spending time with the Milnes (and Taggart) Family!
Oh, and I shouldn't forget. We have made it a point to have an annual date night while they are here as well. One night just the 4 of us go out for adult time. It's usually a much needed break and so much fun! No pictures of the 4 of us this year, but I got a couple of the boys after dinner.
