October 2012- Misc

Here are a few other misc pictures from our very busy month!!

Katelyn got her first Cabbage Patch doll.  Granny and Grandpa bought this for her a couple years ago and I have been saving it until she was ready.  She saw it and asked to have it.  Theresa now sleeps with Katelyn every night.

So excited for our big blow up pumpkin.
Some days, this is so fitting...haha!  She was excited about our Halloween lights and trying on my witch hat.

Family Friday Night Dinner at Bullritos!  She loves getting an ice cream cone.

Fun play date dinner at Chick-fil-a with Holden and Jenna!

Styling in her shades!

At the park running off some of that excess energy!

Halloween 2012

One day Katelyn came home demanding that she was going to be Spider-man for Halloween.  I was thrilled with that idea.  Too bad it didn't stick.  A few weeks later, she wanted to be Rapunzel.  What?  Really?  A princess?  Well, if that's what you want, then so be it.  I waited until just before Halloween and ordered the Disney Rapunzel costume.  I have to admit, its sooo cute!  We did some trying on multiple times to get her used to it.  Finally, Halloween came.  At school, they do a trunk or treat in the parking lot so the kids get to wear their costumes to school.  This year I was able to take the day off and participate in the trunk or treat and the classroom party.  Let me tell you, those kids were adorable!

After school (and a much needed nap), we met up with Chris, Granny and Grandpa for a quick Chinese food dinner before hitting the streets.  Katelyn was so excited this year to be out trick or treating like a big girl, but she was also anxious to get back home to pass out candy.  She loved it.

And here are a few pictures from the day before all dressed in her Halloween outfit....so darn cute!

October 2012- Part 2

Since we found out A&M was going to the SEC, Chris and I were excited about the A&M vs. LSU game!  Chris' boss, Jason, is a big LSU fan and we have had a great time talking smack about the big game.  I really wanted to go to the game because I knew Aggieland would be buzzing, but we didn't think that would be possible.  At the last minute though, we got very lucky and received free tickets from Chris' company!  Yahoo!!  Saturday morning we headed to Aggieland early to check things out before the big game.  College Station has changed so much from when we were in school and continues to change year to year.  Its fun (and kinda sad) to go back and see everything.  They just completely remodeled the Memorial Student Center (MSC) so we were excited to see it all finished.  What a big change.  And we can't visit Aggieland without a visit to the good ole' Civil Engineering building to check out all the pictures of the graduates.  Unfortunately A&M lost to LSU, but Kyle field was amazing and the Aggies played great.

The following weekend, Papa was in town for a visit.  He was able to come early Friday and spend the entire day with Katelyn on Friday and they had a blast.  That Saturday was the big air show in Houston.  I love air shows, so I was thrilled to be going.  The Blue Angels were flying to end the show, so we time our arrival just before their show.  It was amazing as usual.  After the air show, we got to enjoy a free concert by Aaron Tippin.  The weather was awesome which helped make for a fantastic day!

October 2012- Part 1

As usual, October was a busy month for us!  We were busy with something fun every weekend including racing, a visit to the Friendswood Fire Department, A&M football, a visit from Nana, air show, a visit from Papa, and Halloween!  After a long week of Jury Service to start the month (that was interesting, but miserable at the same time), I was excited to get to the fun stuff for the rest of the month.

Chris wrapped up the racing season this month.  Was not quite the season he was hoping for, but we all had fun.  This race was extra fun because we got to see some friends we have not seen in a while!  Here is Katelyn and Trent enjoying being at the track (they are about 6 weeks apart).

Although the race weekend did not end as we would have liked, it allowed us to take Katelyn to the Friendswood Fire Department's open house.  Katelyn has loved looking at the fire trucks for a while now, so we were excited.  It took her a little while to warm up, but once she did she had blast.  We got to ride on a fire truck, slide down the fire pole, watch care flight land in the park, etc.
