Hair Bows

We have gone bow crazy in our house!  Yes, I know, Katelyn does not wear many bows, but we are gonna start.  Mom and I spent the day recoving from the yard work making hair bows.  We had a great time and got better as the day went on.

Cartoons

I havent really ever turned cartoons on for Katelyn.  Shes always so busy, I just never really thought she would sit still long enough to watch anything.  Well today, we needed to try something different so I found a kids channel with something on and gave it a shot.  She got right up to the tv for about 3 minutes and then she was done...haha!  Guess I was right.  Anyways, she seemed to enjoy the 3 minutes.

Photoshop Elements

So, after my photography class, I bought Photoshop Elements to get some practice in photo editing.  Since the class, I have not really had much time to play with it and it was kinda bumming me out.  Well tonight I made time while waiting for Chris to get home.  Here is the outcome....

Black and White with a punch of color!  I cant wait to have more time to do more playing.  Stay tuned for my newest creations!

Big Dinner For Katelyn

Katelyn eats so well, its impressive.  Her favorites are green beans and mac-n-cheese, but she will eat lots more.  Tonight was a big day for her.  She had lima beans, whole milk and potato salad for the first time.  All were a hit!  She took to the milk right away and seem to really like it.  The lima beans were left over from our dinner, well Chris' dinner, from last night.  I thought I would give it a shot.  Well it worked!  Then I tried the potato salad.  She made a huge mess, but loved it!!  I love that she eats so well and hope the trend continues.

Hmmm...

After such a great weekend, I am missing Katelyn so much today.  I thought I had gotten into the grove of being at work and away from her all day, but apparently not.  Does a Mom ever get used to that?  I got so much quality time with her this weekend that leaving this morning was rough.  Thank goodness for me that I had to be at work at a certain time otherwise I might still be at Tottenberry's with her...haha.  The good part, its almost time for me to leave and pick her up.  I cant wait to see that beautiful smile!  I wish and hope the traffic is not terrible, but it is raining so I am thinking my wish might not come true.   

Weekend Fun

Yeah, finally some great weather!  Its been sunny and in the mid 60's.  Needless to say, we are trying to enjoy it as much as possible.  Friday, after we got home, I took Katelyn and Haley outback to play in the yard while I pulled some weeds.  She loved being outside and playing with the leaves. 

Once we were done outside, we headed back in for some dinner.  While I was preparing dinner, Katelyn got into her wipes and decided to clean the kitchen floor for me.

Katelyn is a big eater!  She LOVES green beans and Mac-n-Cheese.

Katelyn also decided to rearrange Chris' CD collection.  She loves to do that and would do it on a daily basis if we let her.

Today, Saturday, the weather was just as amazing!  Haley, Katelyn and I went out for a long walk this morning.  Later this afternoon, we headed to the ball fields to watch Craig play baseball.  It was great to see Jason, Diane, and Craig.  Its been too long.  The Cubs played great and Katelyn really enjoyed watching and playing in the grass.

Katelyn was mezmorized by American Idol tonight when Big Mike (I think thats what his name is) was signing.  I was holding her and then put her in her chair and she watched his entire performance before she wanted down.  So cute!

Stealing the spoon

Katelyn's new favorite thing while eating is to steal the spoon after you give her a bit.  Then she pulls it out of her mouth and gets it all over her face.  She thinks its so funny.

A weekend with Grandma (Bobo)

My mom was here visiting this weekend.  Well actually she was here babysitting for part of the weekend.  Saturday was my photography class.  It was AWESOME!!  Mom got some good quality time with Katelyn on Saturday.  Here are a few pictures of our fun weekend....

Friday- At the park trying to swing, but it was so windy, we had to make the trip short.

Sunday- In the laundry basket heading upstairs for nap time.  Seems like she always ends up in the laundry basket when Grandma is here. 

At walmart shopping and playing with Cari's yarn.  We have discovered that Katelyn likes to ride in the big part of the shopping cart.

Ready for School

All dressed and ready for school.  She looks so big just sitting on the steps waiting to go to school.  She had her shoes and coat on and baby in tow.  I cant believe how big she is getting!

Poop

Well, I was hoping that we would make it to 1 yr before Katelyn pooped in the tub.  She had other plans this evening!  We made it 10 1/2 months, so I am pretty happy about that.  She was so proud of herself and wanted to play with the poopy water...YUCK!!  I pulled her out as soon as I saw it and wrapped her up in her towel while I pulled all her bath toys and wash cloth out.  Needless to say, Chris MUST clean the bath room before tomorrow night now.  No getting out of it this time!

Bath time

Katelyn loves bath time!  Now that shes on the move, she loves to crawl from her room to the tub while its filling up.  When she gets there she pulls herself up on the side of the tub and bangs on it!  When shes finally in the tub, she loves to stand up and fall back on her bottom splashing.  Its so dang cute and she just gets the biggest kick out of it and laughs.

Music Class

Chris dropped Katelyn off at school today just in time for Music class.  Its so cute...they are all lined up paying close attention! 

Another bump in the road

Well, I am officially sick again!  Headed to the doc today and she informed me that I have non-strep tonsilitis again.  I think this is like the 3rd time I have had this since before Christmas.  Chris and I just keep passing it back and forth.  I am DONE with being sick.  Its been 2 months of this almost non stop.  I have a z-pack again, so hopefully I will be healthy enough to go to my Basic Photography class on Saturday and enjoy my mom's visit this weekend.  The ONLY good part is that Katelyn seems to have avoided most of this crap.  Thank goodness.
