Mother's Day 2012

There is just something special about spending Mother's Day with your mom and your daughter and this year I got to do both!  Chris and I typically do not go overboard with gifts and what not for these holidays, however I did have 1 request this year....CRAWFISH!!  I do not get to eat them unless Chris cooks them because they are usually too spicy, so I was craving some.  Being the awesome hubby he is, he made it happen.  On Saturday evening (after the birthday party), we enjoyed the cool evening outside (thanks to the rain) and some yummy crawfish. 

The next day, Chris was up early and surprised me with a gift card for a spa day.  I have not been able to use it yet, but I am thrilled for my 4 hours of bliss when life calms down a bit.  After the great surprise, I found him outside preparing brisket for dinner.  How did I get so lucky to find a guy who can cook and likes to shop?  Papa and Mimi were headed out that morning, so we spent some quality time with them before dropping them off at the airport.  It was a fantastic Mother's Day!!
